Description
The Ponni Rice is primarily cultivated extensively in Tamil Nadu and this hybrid type of rice was developed by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in 1986. Ponni Rice is a medium grain type of rice which when cooked becomes soft and the grains separate. The Ponni Boiled Rice processed at the P.N.M.N mills has a high fiber content that is easily digestable and is good for diabetic patients.
